Has our trial license expired?  I can not find any expiry dates for it and it has failed while trying to demonstrate it today.  I get an error "your explorer could not render control" and I can't get it to install on machines any longer.

Kaldeera ScanIn works properly in IE 7+ (with "execute ActiveX" option enabled)
We are using ScanIN in IE 8 on Windows 7.

I will check Active X settings on the machine and in GPO, however it was working previously so that doesn't seem as likely as reason.

David,

Can you ensure that you have correct rights to execute "EZTwainX" component on your IE?.

Please, open IE > Tools > Manage Internet Options

Programs TAB > Manage add-ons

Select “Downloaded Controls” and  ensure that you have one “EZTwainX” entry enabled.

hope this helps.

Thanks for your help on this.  Your last message sent me in the correct direction.

This is a bit odd, but let me try to explain this for your information.  IE isn't our browser of choice, but for web apps that require it I sometimes create a batch file for my users.  When I starting IE from the batch file then the Twain add-on doesn't start up.  It doesn't even show up in the add-on list.  When I start IE in a more usual way (like going to the Run As: and starting with iexplore) then it works fine.  For some reason it doesn't load those add-ons when I run IE from a batch file.

Thanks for your patience.
